This project consisted of the complete interior and exterior renovation of an existing building to create the City of Oakland Park Municipal Facility. Phase II of the project included improvements to make the building hurricane resistant to act as the City’s Emergency Operations Center, following a hurricane event. The improvements included new hurricane-resistant glazing, the installation of a new parapet wall, structural steel joists and new roofing, completed without impeding the day-to-day operation of the facility.
